CEO succession at Permobil: Jon Sintorn to step down after nine years. Bengt Thorsson new CEO from September 1st

After nine years as CEO of Permobil, a global leader in advanced rehab solutions, Jon Sintorn will leave on August 31st. Bengt Thorsson, currently President EMEA at Dometic, and with extensive experience from various positions at Scania, will succeed him on September 1st, 2018.

During the last decade, Permobil has grown from a niche player to a global leader in advanced rehab technology, offering power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, seating and positioning solutions. Today, the company has a strong position in Europe and the US market, with strong growth in Asia.

Jon Sintorn and Bengt Thorssonwill work in parallel during a transition period before Bengt Thorsson takes over as CEO on September 1st2018.  Bengt Thorsson currently serves as President EMEA at Dometic. Prior to joining Dometic, he served as Senior Vice President Commercial Operations Europe at Scania.

Bengt Thorsson
Bengt Thorsson is currently President EMEA at Dometic. Prior to joining Dometic he spent 27 years in various roles in Scania, including sales and operations positions, most recently as Senior Vice President Commercial Operations Europe. Bengt Thorsson holds a B.Sc. from the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.
