August 23, 2017 – Permobil will be taking over operations of Durable Medical Equipment, Ltd. (DME). The acquisition is an important step for Permobil in its strategy to drive user access in New Zealand, providing innovative advanced rehabilitation solutions for people with disabilities.
DME, the largest complex rehab equipment supply company in New Zealand, was founded in 1999 by Andy O’Sullivan. As a well-established provider in the market with more than two decades of experience, DME has grown by focusing on the user to create new and better ways to improve access to their environment and quality of life. A belief fully shared by Permobil.
