Product Features

The Vicair Active O2 Low offers the unique combination of ergonomically shaped foam and Vicair SmartCells. The four rear compartments provide a high level of comfort, skin protection and reduce pressure in the IT/coccyx area.

The foam front assist in making transfers easier. The foam inlay is protected by an easy-to-clean fluid-resistant liner. The rest of the cushion is 100% machine washable and breathable for optimal hygiene, temperature and moisture regulation.

  • Vicair® Technology

Vicair Technology uses air filled “SmartCells” – which offer a unique combination of skin protection and positioning. Smooth SmartCells move almost frictionless against one another. The SmartCells in each cushion compartment, deform individually and together to adjust to the body. Cushion compartments are designed in such a way that provide stability and therefore positioning possibilities. Each is filled with just the right amount of SmartCells, resulting in a stable cushion. Every compartment can also be adjusted to fit individual needs by removing or adding SmartCells.

  • Breathable

Active O2’s open cushion structure offers 100% breathability and ventilation. The breathable cushion helps with temperature and humidity control, increases comfort, and reduces effects of shear and friction on tissue deformation.

Active O2 Product Features:
  • Temperature and moisture regulation
  • Cushion without the foam insert is machine washable
  • Accessible storage pouch
  • Great for lateral and frontal stability

Manual wheelchair frame materials: 6000 & 7000 series aluminum

Hi again. In our last Balanced Ride blog we discussed the importance of material science in the complex rehab technology industry. Frame material choice in ultra-lightweight manual wheelchairs (ULMWCs) plays a pivotal role for someone searching for a more Balanced Ride. Today we are going to dive a bit deeper how and why aluminum is used when manufacturing ULMWCs.
