Product Features

The M2 is constructed with dual density foam, a molded foam base, and Quadra3D Gel pack. The M2 comes in three styles: Zero Elevation style which allows for greater freedom of movement for standard positioning issues, Anti-Thrust style provides anterior pelvic build-up to prevent forward migration, and the Wedge style controls forward leaning by adding slight anterior height.

  • Quadra3d® Gel

Four compartment Quadra3D Gel is designed to prevent gel migration. Quadra 3D Gel regulates body temperature by retaining head and redistributes pressure to provide maximum comfort.

  • Available with GlideWear®

GlideWear is designed to promote healing and reduce the risk of pressure injury through the use of the Shear Reduction Zone. GlideWear provides reduction of shear forces to increase skin protection, 100% breathability for microclimate control, and improved comfort from reduced friction. The GlideWear technology option is available as an embedded upgrade to Stretch-Air & Comfort-Tek fabric options. Latex free.

Making a Stand

As we’ve been discussing the benefits of front wheel drive recently, we had an unsolicited story come our way. Joseph Maimone lives in NC and is a published author, radio contributor, and has a following on YouTube. Thanks to Todd Dewey, ATP with Numotion for connecting us with our friend Joseph to share his story.

Benefits of Front Wheel Drive Part 1

Part 1 in our two part series exploring the potential benefits and uses of front wheel drive power wheelchairs.

We at Permobil have over 50 years of redefining not just ability but also mobility. Today we are focusing on front wheel drive solutions and our story really starts with our founder, Dr. Per Udden who made the first Permobil power wheelchair in the basement of his hospital in Sweden. Dr. Udden believed in a better solution that allowed his clients and patients to get independent mobility, and with this idea in mind he created the first power wheelchair. Early on, Permobil has believed in the benefit of front wheel drive as an ideal platform for indoor and outdoor mobility.
So how do you know if a Front Wheel Drive power wheelchair is right for you?
